WHAT IS A HOMESTAY?

As a homestay host, you welcome a student into your home for a set period of time. This is a great opportunity if you have a spare room and are interested in cultural exchange.

FOR HOW LONG CAN I DO IT?

You can let us know your availability, and we will match you with suitable students. Longer stays are preferred, as most students enroll in extended language programs.

HOW TO BECOME A HOMESTAY?

Simply fill in the application form and provide as much information as possible about your home, including photos. Our team will review your application and get in touch with you shortly.

WHAT DO I GET IN RETURN?

Hosting a student offers many benefits, including: A meaningful cultural and language exchange, the opportunity to meet people from around the world, financial compensation to help cover accommodation and meal expenses.

Who are the students staying in a homestay?

Our students come from all over the world and from a wide range of age groups and backgrounds.

They are motivated individuals who choose homestay accommodation to fully immerse themselves in the local language and culture.

Who can I contact if I have any questions?

Once your application is approved, you will be connected with your local LTL Culture Specialist.

They will arrange an initial meeting and remain your main point of contact throughout your hosting experience.

Do I need to prepare meals for the student?

Yes.

Hosts are expected to provide breakfast and dinner on both weekdays and weekends.

If a student is unable to attend a meal, they will inform you in advance.

Can I meet the students before they arrive?

Before arrival, you will receive information about your student.

Students will also receive your details and may contact you to introduce themselves in advance.

What if I can no longer host?

If your availability changes, simply inform us.

We will update our records and remove you from the homestay list if needed.
