Frequently Asked Questions
What courses do you offer to learn Japanese in Japan?
Our standard courses are 20 hours a week which includes 4 hours of Japanese class every day between Monday and Friday.
Students can choose to study in groups or individually. All group classes are small and average just 3 students.
For a more intensive option, students can study 6 hours per day, totalling 30 hours a week.
We also offer a fixed semester program in Japan, which lasts 18 weeks and is our best value program.
Can you help me get a visa for Japan?
As a private language school, we cannot help with the student visa process.
You can enroll to our courses without a visa by checking if your country has a visa-waiver agreement with Japan.
After you book and finalise the payment for your program, we will issue a Letter of Acceptance and Payment Receipt that you can use to apply for a short-term tourist visa, if needed.
How long is a Japanese language program at LTL?
You decide on the length of your Japanese language program.
From 1 to 52 weeks, you choose how long you wish to learn Japanese in Japan with LTL.
Some people even book another course after their first one is complete so it’s truly flexible.
If you are unsure about the optimum length for your program, we would be happy to hear about your project and assist you in this decision.

What are the after-school activities?
After school activities can be visits to historical and touristy places, parks or shopping areas.
We can also organise cooking classes, calligraphy classes, traditional clothes fittings, movie nights, etc.
We are always open to new suggestions so feel free to let your ideas known.
What is a typical class schedule?
A typical class schedule is 2 hours of class in the morning, and two hours in the afternoon (10am-12pm / 1pm-3pm).
If you joined an intensive program, the two extra 1-on-1 classes per day can be taken at any convenient time for you. Typically this is from 3pm to 5pm.
This schedule can be different depending on the period of the year, and classroom availabilities.
