Frequently Asked Questions
Can you help me get a visa for Vietnam?
As a private language school we cannot help with the student visa process. You can enroll to our courses without a visa by checking if your country has a visa-waiver agreement with Vietnam.
After you book and finalise the payment for your program, we will issue a Letter of Acceptance and Payment Receipt that you can use to apply for a short-term tourist visa, if needed.
How long is a Vietnamese language program at LTL?
You decide on the length of your Vietnamese language program.
From 1 to 52 weeks, you choose how long you wish to learn Vietnamese in Hanoi or Saigon with LTL.
Some people even book another course after completing their first one, so it’s truly flexible.
If you are unsure about the optimum length for your program, we would be happy to hear about your project and assist you in this decision.

What are the accommodation options?
The most popular option for our students is staying with a Vietnamese family.
This is our homestay experience which the vast majority of LTL students choose.
Otherwise you can stay in an apartment arranged by us or look for your own options via booking.com or AirBnB, for example.
What are the after-school activities?
After school activities can be visits to historical and touristy places, parks or shopping areas.
We can also organise cooking classes, calligraphy classes, traditional clothes fittings, movie nights, etc.
We are always open to new suggestions so feel free to let your ideas known.
What is a typical class schedule?
A typical class schedule is 2 hours of class in the morning, and two hours in the afternoon (10am-12pm / 1pm-3pm).
If you joined an intensive program, the two extra 1-on-1 classes per day can be taken at any convenient time for you. Typically this is from 3pm to 5pm.
This schedule can be different depending on the period of the year, and classroom availabilities.
