Children and teens from around the world embark on adventures together to immerse themselves in the local language and culture. LTL provides 5 different Summer Camp options based on accommodation and age group.

Homestay Camp
For 11 to 17-year-olds

Staying with a homestay family offers students a unique opportunity to experience local culture up close while practising their language skills daily. Students share breakfast and dinner with the family and can join in on weekend activities, especially on Sundays. Each student enjoys the comfort and privacy of their own single room.

Residence Camp
For 11 to 17-year-olds

Live with fellow students in shared rooms, which are gender separated. Students are looked after by a program coordinator on-site who provides support, supervision, and daily activities. All meals are shared at home, school, or local restaurants.

Teen Day Camp
For 11 to 17-year-olds

Students participate in all classes and social activities, but stays with his or her parents at night and on Sundays. During weekend trips, transport to the school can be arranged, depending on location.

Kids Day Camp
For 7 to 10-year-olds

Students join all classes and activities but return to stay with their parents in the evenings and on Sundays. A reduced Teen Day Camp rate is available when a parent joins for all activities.

Summer Camp in Beijing

A summer camp in Beijing is a memorable experience and one not to be missed.

We welcome kids and teens between the ages of 7-17 from all around the world. Students will learn Chinese at our LTL Beijing branch in the morning before heading out for lunch together.

After this, we embark on an afternoon activity, allowing all students to get a true feel for life in Beijing,

Every Saturday we go for a day trip, visiting the historical palaces, temples, parks, and other attractions in Beijing.

Summer Camp in Shanghai

Cities don’t get more exciting than Shanghai!

Every summer, we welcome kids and teens to the shining lights of Shanghai for a camp full of adventure. The day begins with Mandarin lessons, followed by a shared lunch.

Once everyone is well fed, we set out to explore Shanghai. History, culture, food, and art, the list goes on.

And that’s not all. Every Saturday, we take a day trip to discover some of the city’s most exciting areas. This is a summer you won’t want to miss!

Sun, Surf & Speak Chinese

For those who just can’t get enough of the warm weather and beach vibes.

We warmly welcome kids and teens aged 7 to 17 from all over the world for our summer camp in Beihai.

Each morning, students will learn Chinese at our LTL Beihai branch, followed by a shared lunch with their fellow campers.

During the afternoon, students will enjoy the sunny weather of Beihai as we head to the beach, relax together, enjoy fresh seafood and hit the waves. Every Saturday, we set off on exciting day trips to explore Beihai further.

From Monday to Friday, participants study Korean at our LTL Seoul camp in the mornings, followed by an exciting and diverse cultural program in the afternoons.

Activities include everything from exploring local neighborhoods and cultural sites to wearing Hanbok in Seoul’s most famous palaces.

Every Saturday, we head out on a fun day trip to discover Seoul’s palaces, traditional villages, vibrant markets, and other cultural highlights.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age group are kids classified as?

Kids are classed as 7-10-year-olds.

What age group are teens classified as?

Teens are classed as 11-17-year-olds.

How does my child get around the city?

We will provide every Summer Camp student (excluding half-day camp participants) with a public transport card.

The card will come pre-loaded, covering their first few journeys around the city.

When needed, we will also assist your children in topping up the card.

These cards can typically be used on the underground metro and local buses.

What happens if my child gets sick?

There are high quality international medical facilities available.

Doctors speak English, and the service quality is strong. 

We will accompany your child to the hospital, in case of an emergency at any time of the day/night needed.

Can families participate as well as just children?

Yes, parents can accompany their children to the Summer Camp and either take a language course on their own, share accommodation with their child or take a break and explore while their child is at the summer camp.

Can siblings and friends come together?

Absolutely yes.

We offer a 5% discount for any summer camp participants who sign up together.

Who do I contact if there are problems?

During the program, your child’s guardian is always your first point of contact. If your child does not have a guardian program, please contact your student advisor. 

In case of emergencies, we are contactable 24/7. For non-urgent questions you will have a reply latest by the next working day.
