ACCOMMODATION

Students taking part in the LTL Winter Camp in Japan have two options for accommodation: the homestay camp or the residence camp.

Living with a Japanese homestay means your child will live with a local family, get to experience authentic Japanese home life and immerse themselves in the culture. They will also practice their language skills every day after school.

The residence camp allows students to live with other winter program participants in shared rooms.

FAQs FOR PARENTS

What is the weather like in Tokyo during the winter?

There are very good international medical facilities available in Tokyo.

Doctors speak English amongst a lot of other languages too. The service quality is very high.

Why do under-18s stay with homestay families?

Our homestay families are great with teenagers.

They look after their host children very well and provide not only a safe but also a comfortable environment at home that allows your child to explore from a safe home base.

They also provide supervision and help with enforcing the rules you set for your child.

Is Tokyo a safe city for my child?

Tokyo is extremely safe for all our students.

Traffic however is more chaotic than many other countries, so please make sure you tell your child to follow our instructions regarding road safety.

Who do I contact if there are problems?

During the program, your child’s guardian is always your first point of contact.
