At our annual Winter camp in China, students spend the mornings studying Mandarin Chinese, before enjoying a group lunch together and exploring the spectacular sights of Beijing in the afternoons.

The camp starts on Monday, November 25th 2024, and is the perfect way to learn Chinese whilst witnessing this incredible city come to life during the colder months.

Whether it’s strolling through the snowy hutongs, ice skating on the frozen Houhai Lake, or going skiing, this is an experience not to be missed.

AGES 7-17

Kids must be at least 11 years old to come to our winter camp in Beijing without parents.

You choose how long you want your child to study with LTL Language School.

We offer 24/7 emergency support with a team who know how it’s done.

In winter the city comes alive. The snowy scenery is something to behold.

Our Chinese Winter Camp takes place in Beijing. There are few places better to experience Chinese culture than China’s vast and historical capital city.

Lessons run every morning from Monday to Friday and we lunch together everyday. In the afternoons we’re off on memorable adventures all around Beijing and taking part in cultural activities like calligraphy and kung fu.

Plus, every Saturday we go on day trips to places like the Great Wall, and the Forbidden City. We’ll also go ice skating on the famous Houhai Lake.

Students taking part in the LTL Winter Camp in Beijing have two options for accommodation: the homestay camp or the residence camp.

Choosing a Chinese homestay means living with a local family, allowing your child to experience Chinese home life and delve deeper into local culture, whilst also practicing language skills as much as possible.

The residence camp allows students to live together with other summer program participants in shared rooms.

A program coordinator lives with the participants, organizing activities, support and supervision during the program.

Why do under-18s stay with homestay families?

Our homestay families are great with teenagers.

They also provide supervision and help with enforcing the rules you set for your child.

Is Beijing a safe city for my child?

Beijing is extremely safe for all our students.

Traffic however is more chaotic than many other countries, so please make sure you tell your child to follow our instructions regarding road safety.

English is not widely spoken in mainland China.

Who do I contact if there are problems?

During the program, your child’s guardian is always your first point of contact.
